Welcome Erik!

Gear Tip #1: The Balaclava or Gaiter

Balaclava or neck gaiter. They're kinda dorky, but you never know what the conditions might be. This is a handy creature comfort to throw in your pack or jacket pocket just in case.

Welcome back Heidi!

Snowboarder Profile: Dave Leites

Dave LeitesMr. David "Dave" Leites is also a Holiday newbie. After hearing about the Chamonix ("Cham-Wow") trip last year, Mr. Leites had to get in on the Ski Holiday action. Normally a back country traveler, he is excited to try on his much-neglected resort-legs this year at Whistler. While he still hopes to earn some turns in the Canadian wilderness this trip, Dave plans to avoid avalanches and moose-knuckles. Welcome newcomer Dave!

Skier Profile: David Blizzard

David BlizzardMr. David Blizzard has his flight purchased, gold pass purchased, vacation days ready, and wondering: is it February yet? Mr. Blizzard is brand NEW to the Ski Holiday experience. He likes long walks on the beach, graduated from Penn State two years ago, worked at a steamship line, and now in a supply chain capacity. David would love to move closer to better skiing and/or outdoor activities. Mr. Blizzard hopes our on/off-slope performances top that of MTV's "Peak Season". We aim to please. Welcome David!

Ms. Lamb joins us from Marblehead Massachusetts, where she works out of home and from the road, managing clinical trials for big pharma. When Becca is not poring over data, documents, protocols, and processes, she enjoys cabins in Maine, cross-country skiing, and gardening sans pruning. Becca is from the Portland Maine area, and attended Trinity College in Hartford. And she is always smiling.

Tele-Skier Profile: Mark Auclair

Mark AuclairMr. Mark Auclair showed us what it takes to do Ski Holiday right in Kicking Horse and Lake Louise Resorts in 2009, and in Park City Utah in 2011. Now he's back. Mr. Auclair is IT when it comes to IT; he is an applications analyst in Boston, expressing himself in SQL, XML, JSP, UNIX, and other languages that mean little to the common desktop user. When Mark is not analyzing applications, you might find him in his Marblehead MA basement building chairs from scrap..or on the Singer mending windsurfing sails or sewing wheelbags from old bike tubes..or on the couch tying monkey fists — he'll make you one upon special request.

Tele-Skier Profile: Denise Abdoo

Denise AbdooMs. Denise Abdoo is a 100 percent Ski-Holiday-blooded veteran. She hails from Denver, Colorado, where she works as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Emergency Medicine and Trauma at The Children's Hospital. Snowboarder Profile: Tyler Gee

Mr. Tyler Gee rejoins the SH ranks from San Francisco CA. Tyler is a northern CA local, shredding Sierra Cement for close to 3 decades. This will be his second time riding somewhere that does not rhyme with "Amonix", "Alifornia", "Olorado" or "Regon." Mr. Gee does it all: surfs, wakeboards, spearfishes, freedives, abalones, swims, bikes, runs. When not involved in various social movements, such as "Occupy Chairlifts" or "Occupy Skin Tracks", Tyler spends his time vigorously protecting the intellectual property rights of inventors, artists, and other innovators. Welcome back Tyler!

Andrea is a former teacher and is in the last year (again) of her doctorate in Education in Philadelphia. Welcome Andrea!

Snowboarder Profile: Simon Pham

Simon PhamMr. Viet "Simon" Pham is returning to the Ski Holiday circuit, joining us from Washington DC.
